Full Set (2025) links 27 editioned images in a three-by-nine grid. The work developed from individually released pictures into a system whose collective appearance could change in response to a collecting threshold.
The threshold
In a 10 January 2025 statement, Butcher describes replacing 26 separate images with a network grid after discovering that the tokens could point to new images. The twenty-seventh token would determine whether that change lasted.
If token 27 exceeded 159,300 editions—the combined count he gave for the first 26—the network would remain the artwork. Otherwise, the first 26 would return to their original images. The condition therefore included a possible reversal, not only a route toward completion.
A purchase that affects other images
The individual choice to collect contributed to a condition affecting the wider group. This differs from selecting a preferred image for one’s own token. A participant could help trigger a change experienced by holders of earlier works.
Editorially, the project makes a platform property—changeable token imagery—part of its subject. The relationship among the images matters as much as the appearance of any one edition.
Reported outcome and evidence
A progress post followed on 11 January; on 12 January the artist replied with a checkmark. The later studio catalogue explicitly reports that the threshold was passed. The posts establish a dated sequence, while the checkmark alone is not a transaction-level proof.
The crossing transaction, timestamp and preserved before-and-after metadata are still needed for independent reconstruction.
